CPR Sporthorses, Inc. breeds Hanoverian and
Iberian sport horses for dressage, eventing,
and hunter/jumper competition. Crooked Pine
Ranch (the "CPR" in CPR Sporthorses) is
located 20 miles north of Las Vegas, New
Mexico, in the foothills of the breathtaking
Sangre de Cristo Mountains, adjacent to the
Pecos Wilderness.
The goal of our breeding program is to
produce sport horses of exceptional quality
and potential from superb broodmares paired
with champion stallions in jumping and
dressage. Our horses are "happy athletes"
with beautiful movement, character and
rideability, making them the perfect partners
for adult or junior amateurs as well as
professionals.
"When God created the horse He said to the magnificent creature: I have made thee as no other. All the treasures of the earth lie between thy eyes. Thou shalt carry my friends upon thy back. Thy saddle shall be the seat of prayers to me. And thou wilt fly without wings, and conquer without any sword. Oh, Horse." The Koran

has been bred to a fabulous
Andalusian stallion named
Altanero D. The offspring

HAY SALES. In Summer 2008,
we'll offer premium alfalfa

These photos were taken on and around
Crooked Pine Ranch within a span of only
two days! On Friday, April 13, we received
10 inches of snow. It was gone the next day.
We're at about 7400 feet elevation, and the
weather is highly variable in the mountains.
